Lila Burner Housden, the youngest child of the late James Gilbert Burner and Amanda Elsapha Noble was born in Luray, VA.  On September 30, 1972, she married Vincent Lee Housden, a disabled Vietnam Veteran. They currently reside in Cross Keys, VA.  Lila and Vince have two children, James Vincent Housden and Kathryn Noble Housden Corder. Lila is a grandmother of five, including twin grandsons and has two great-grandsons.

Lila studied at Longwood College and Blue Ridge Community College with a double major in History and English with concentration in Medieval English. She has an advanced certification in Interior Design with concentration in Historical Restoration and Preservation. She served her Internship with Mary Glick of Mary Glick Interiors of Virginia. 

Lila is a former advertising agent and writer for numerous advertising agencies, radio, and tv stations. She was Special Events Consultant for international corporations. Lila served as speech writer for numerous corporate executives. She is the former Co-Owner of Hawks Meadow Horse Farm, who specialized in “Touch Training” for foals and “Ground Manners” for horses of all ages.  Currently Lila is the Secretary -Treasurer for Double J Livestock LLC and Dayton Ag Complex in Virginia.

Lila designed and implemented the creation of Virginia themed gifts for International Corporate Visitors. She is a former Sunday School Teacher, former Girl Scout Leader, and a member of Sigma Kappa National Sorority.
