Sharyn Kelley Worrell

Sharyn “Shari” Kelley Worrell, a native of Lynn, Massachusetts is the daughter of Richard Allen and Norma Lovett (Gregory) Kelley.  She has a son, Ryan Richard Worrell and enjoyed a career as a flight attendant; now retired.  Shari is involved with numerous avocational pursuits and devotes significant time to the lineage society community, where she has served in many organizations in various capacities.

Other Notes
Shari is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and has held many roles, including: Secretary of the Congregation; Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School; Secretary of the Board of Education; Public Relations Chair for the school and church.  Additionally, she is a member of the Clipped Wings.  Shari co-founded the Young Women’s League for Muscular Dystrophy Association in 1975; the Speakers’ Bureau for Los-Angeles Based Flight Attendants; and the Immanuel Lutheran School Education Foundation.

Shari has received many rewards including: Honorary President of the Auxiliary of Good Shepherd Hospital; the President’s Volunteer Service Lifetime Award; the Servant of Youth Award from the Boy Scouts of America; three Awards of Merit from United Airlines; and the Volunteer Recognition Award from the Y.M.C.A.

Shari also lobbied for three years for the exoneration of the remaining six “Salem Witches” whom were executed in 1692. On October 31, 2001, Acting Gov. Jane Swift (of Massachusetts) signed the Bill into Law, exonerating all six. Shari’s Committee held a Memorial service in June 2002 in Salem, Massachusetts for these martyrs.

She holds membership in numerous genealogical research societies and family associations.  They include: Barrington Historical Society; Essex Society of Genealogists; Issac Cummings Family Association; New England Historic Genealogical Society; New Hampshire Historical SocietyNew Hampshire Society of Genealogists; Swift River Valley Historical Society; The American Genealogist; Topsfield Historical Society; Towne Family Associations.
