Reception, Dinner and
Awards Ceremony
The Annual Dinner and
Awards Ceremony of the
Hereditary Society Community of the United States of America
was held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Washington Club. Guests were
received by ladies and gentlemen of
the Advisory Council. Guests enjoyed a
Reception
in the Grand Ballroom
between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, where cocktails and hors
d'oeuvres were served. Baroque and Classical selections were
played from the balcony by the Saint Charles String Quartet.
Guests were seated
at 7:30pm and welcomed by John Mauk Hilliard. Mr.
Hilliard thanked
Eleanor Smallwood Beasley Niebell, a life member of the
Washington Club, for her kindness in sponsoring the event. DeEtte DuPree Nesbitt welcomed guests and
recognized many of those in attendance.
The Rev. Dr. Albert Clinton Walling, II gave
the blessing and dinner was served.
Following dinner, COL Stewart Boone McCarty made special
presentations to Scholarship Donors: Dianne Alley Robinson; Blanch
Lee Anderson Curfman; and Eleanor Smallwood Beasley Niebell. Afterward,
Mr. John Hallberg
Jones introduced each Honorary Member for the Class of 2010.
Recipients were: Richard Stephen Austin; Carter Branham Snow
Furr; and Russell Cecil Scott. The evening was a
success and
the Advisory Council wishes to thank each guest who
supported HSC by attending.
