The following are the standard insignia for a number of hereditary societies. Because of the difficulty in restructuring the appearance of the page for insertions, the insignia are reordered according to precedence only periodically.  New insignia are included toward the bottom of the page, and are inserted correctly later.

Artwork Produced by Henry L.P. Beckwith. Originally designed by the late Harold Bowditch in 1960 -- Blasoned Sable on a gutee gold a baton sinister gules. The significance is: sable = acts done secretly or "in the dark"; the gold gutee = royal blood; and the baton = bastardy. Red & gold are the tinctures of the arms of England (Gules 3 leopards gold).
